Mimi et Toi
From my favourite designer at Beadies to founder of one of the most stylish jewellery’s ever.
Based in Amsterdam Mimi designs all collections by herself. She has a team in Bali who produce everything by hand and back in Holland Mimi checks all items and puts the locks on it herself. I mean, how handmade do you want it?
I have a few favorites like these:
All Mimi’s designs tell their own story. And people can relate to that. The arrow, the saw and the thunderbolt for example, are very strong signs. The arrow can stand for so many things in your life, its an unique symbol. Or the saw, i felt such a connection with this piece. I had a real stormy period in my life and i saw the saw as a symbol to cut all the sorrow and sadness and leave that period behind me. The saw was a real symbol for me. And everytime i see it it reminds me of how happy i am now!
I have had a sneek peak of the new collection and OMG it’s totally awesome! The rings made of bras are a true hit and easy to combine with all your other rings. The new necklaces with bone and horn are amazing. Luckily it’s my birthday in August because i really need to get them all!
